Dana Lockett – Owner & Founder of Studio 36

Born and raised in Eugene, Oregon, Dana Lockett has built her life and career around leadership, movement, and community. A proud alumni of the University of Oregon, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree while cheering for the Ducks. In 2009, Dana stepped into the role of Head Coach for Oregon Cheerleading—a position she has now held for 17 years—guiding athletes to grow not only in their athletic performance, but also as leaders and role models.

Outside the sidelines, Dana is married to Jason Lockett, a Fire Captain with Eugene Springfield Fire, and together they are raising their two children, Brody (8) and Baylor (4).

In 2025, Dana launched Studio 36 to fill a growing need for supplemental training facilities in the Pacific Northwest. Rooted in her deep belief that dance is a powerful form of expression, Studio 36 was created to be a place where dancers of all levels can grow, challenge themselves, and discover the confidence that comes from movement.

Over her years of coaching, Dana has witnessed the incredible impact dance can have on a person’s soul—building confidence, inspiring creativity, and offering healing through self-expression. With Studio 36, she’s excited to expand that opportunity to the broader community and provide a space where dancers can unleash their potential, elevate their skills, and fly toward their dreams.
